The NCLS is designed to listen to the views of our parish leadership, attenders, and broader community to provide a picture of our church's health and vitality. The results will help us identify our strengths and provide processes to help us evaluate, make decisions and connect effectively with our community.
NCLS Research is a world leader in research focused on connecting churches and their communities. Decades of rigorous and thoughtful research has examined wellbeing, spirituality and church health. Our vision is for thriving churches with deepening understanding of their role and mission within a changing society. (www.ncls.org.au/)
St Declan's has been invited to participate in The National Church Life Survey this year. It's an exciting opportunity to hear from our community and explore our experiences of church life, our hopes, strengths and evaluation of our church's health.
The Attender Survey is for regular church attenders aged 15 years and over.
The survey can be completed as a paper survey or online.
The Child Survey is for church attenders aged 8 to 14 years. It explores children's faith, spirituality and their experiences of church life.
The survey is best to be completed together e.g. during Little Church or Mass. The survey may be completed on paper or online.
All 8-14 year old parishioners will have the chance to complete this survey in Fernlands Hall with the assistance of some parishioners connected to the Little Church Ministry. Little Church will still run on this weekend for all children under 8 years old.
