A Special Evening of Prayer - WYD Cross & Icon

EVENING OF PRAYER: AROUND THE WORLD YOUTH DAY CROSS AND ICON
World Youth Day (WYD) is always accompanied by two symbols: the WYD Cross (Youth Cross) and the Icon of Our Lady Salus Populi Romani. Every time the international WYD is held, these symbols go on pilgrimage, proclaiming the Gospel and walking alongside young people in their daily lives.

We are excited to announce that the WYD Cross and Icon will soon be stopping at St Declan's on its pilgrimage to WYD 2027 in Seoul, South Korea.

Join the procession of the WYD Cross and Icon at 7 pm on Wednesday 3 December, starting at Gifford Park* (69A Arcadia St, Penshurst) and arriving at St Declan’s Church by 7.30 pm for a special evening of prayer, veneration, and worship led by Louisa Daniels.

Everyone is invited to share in this unique opportunity.
