  Ruster\, a leading researcher in responsible AI and human-centred technol
 ogy from the Australian National University\, and Fr Chris Ryan for an eng
 aging presentation exploring how we can ensure that emerging technologies 
 serve humanity rather than diminish it. Pope Leo XIV calls us to safeguar
 d human dignity in an age increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
  This talk explores the main themes of the encyclical\, what the encyclica
 l asks of us and how we might respond by building and using technology in 
 ways that honour the dignity of every person\, made in the image of God.\n
 About the speaker:\nDr. Lorenn Ruster is a former parishioner of St. Decla
 ns parish and cares deeply about keeping human dignity at the centre of ho
 w we build and use artificial intelligence. After a decade working across
  business\, consulting\, and global development and a PhD from the Austral
 ian National University's School of Cybernetics\, she created the Dignity 
 Lens - a practical tool that helps people and organisations shape technolo
