What do you usually do during Lent, the 40 days leading up to Easter?

Lent is a time to reflect on God's purpose for our lives. Many people engage in prayer, penance, giving to others, and self-denial through Lent, preparing to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection at Easter.

This year as part of St Declan's Parish 2024 EarthCare Plan (guided by Pope Francis's seven Laudato Si goals), we would like to invite you to participate in a Lenten Fast for Creation.

Pope Francis has put out an invitation to all to embark on a journey of a change of heart, mind, and behaviour. He invites us to a spirituality that is full of gratitude for the gifts of creation and to embrace our responsibility to care for our world and the most vulnerable people.

Register to receive your weekly Lenten Reflection and Action Guide supporting you in preparing for Easter this Lent.

Creation is a gift, it is a wonderful gift that God has given us, so that we care for it and use it for the benefit of all, always with great respect and gratitude.
