St Declan's is a member of the national Catholic Earthcare parishes community.

St Declan's has actively responded to Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical Laudato Si'.

By joining the Catholic Earthcare network, the parish pledges to implement practical and meaningful change within the community that addresses "the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor."

  • Slavery-free Easter
  • Laudato Si' Week (May)
  • Season of Creation (September)
  • Ethical Christmas purchasing
  • Local recycling and repurposing programs
